Appreciation for Aksharwarta Conferance - Eva Petropoulou Lianoy

Dear sir Mohan,

I am grateful and I would like to express my gratitude and I will share my opinion.

Hope you will find some interest in my letter About literature.

Eva Petropoulou Lianoy

I am thinking of the human kind, and all the achievements they were discovered or produced until now. My humble opinion, the most important achievement that exists is the ability to write and read. The discovery of the paper and the pen that conduct us to create

the most beautiful art. the Literature.

The literature is a group of works of art made up of words. Most are written, but some are passed on by word of mouth. Literature usually means works of poetry and prose that are especially well written. ... The word literature comes from the Latin word "learning, writing, grammar". And through literature we learn to express our thoughts, opinions and ideas. We learn to write about our feelings and our experiences. But the problem in our days is that the people, they forgot about their human nature. They forgot about the true values such as kindness, generosity, solidarity, respect to the environment, respect to the elderly and the power of true feelings such as love, faith, patience, compassion.

As i am an author of children literary, I want to share with you, the importance of sharing and reading children's books. There is a wonderfull and imaginary world, that must be shared with childrens . We must support the childrens to write and paint stories, or read more and more books. But first of all, we must learn to them to love books and love reading.

Only by reading books in the young age, childrens will learn about the world.

About the good and the bad. About the experiences of life that others had before them . They will learn also about the fears and they will manage to recognize them and in some situations, they will learn to overcome their fears and succeed their dreams.

They will be entertained and also educated about how this world, that they live, is working. They will discover their own favorite heroes and beautiful places, and they will discover that other people have different ideas, culture and ethics but we all are equal and we have all the right to work, to go to school, to have food and to make dreams and achieve our goals.

We can find the human nature only by reading a book, or writing a poem or a story and express our feelings about the world. We can see that all has become so hard and people are interested in making more money or creating wars, bying weapons and destroying cities. The Man became a big friend of the material and he has lost his sensitivity and his compassion.

Only the literature and the poets can change the world, by keep writing about peace, love and mentioning the importance of co operation, and co existence during the difficult times.

I strongly believe, and maybe I am a dreamer that our world can be changed to a better place, once we continue to write and share our thoughts, our feelings and spread a message of peace to all. Maybe it is difficult to believe in the power of literature but it is not impossible, the only solution is to continue writing with our heart.

The poems that are written once we use our heart, they are easy to understand by all people, in any place . We need to create cultural bridges that will help human beings to discover once more their lost humanity and their lost faith to the goodness . Literature can bring hope and even change the life of a person who writes and express his deepest thoughts.

A message of Peace in a poem, is always stronger than a person with a weapon at his hand, ready to shoot.....

Thank you so much
